Truthfully, it isn\u2019t the first of its kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funny asmr has been around for quite a while as evidenced by the ever so famous Maya Winky and her roleplay asmr as Victor from the Corpse Bride, the Onceler from the Lorax, and other popular characters, where she usually acts out a customer-client relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something like doing your makeup or giving you a manicure; truly hilarious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many clips of her Youtube videos find their way onto Instagram Reels and TikTok. Similar clips of other asmr creators find their way to other platforms as well and become famous mostly in that form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other notable examples include theasmr.fairy\u2019s \u201cWhere\u2019s the foil?\u201d, alexandreasmrmaluco\u2019s spiderman mask and cheese grater, and PersisASMR\u2019s squirrels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For boyfriend asmr a whole range of crazy and diabolical titles like \u201cKind Boyfriend Kisses You Goodbye Then Falls In a Pothole\u201d to \u201cYou Stumble and He Catches You to Punt You Across the Room Boyfriend ASMR\u201d are in the cards here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First thing\u2019s first is to create the dialogue. It\u2019s a lot easier than it seems because the dialogue doesn\u2019t need to be particularly good, nor does it need to be long. If you need inspiration here is the short dialogue I constructed, embarrassingly: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHahaha, I agree, I don\u2019t really want to go to work tomorrow. Even if it is at a cat cafe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I have to go now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll be a good girl, ok? Don\u2019t miss me too much, we\u2019ll see each other soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know that I love you, right? I always will\u2026 don\u2019t cry\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m just going back home to shower before our date tonight, don\u2019t forget that I love you. You\u2019re my favorite girl.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you head to the Video Editor<\/a> on Typecast you can write it all out or copy and paste it in. Now that we have the dialogue down, we can start working on the voice acting. If you click on the picture of the character above the text that\u2019ll allow you to change the voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I personally like Joshua (he\u2019s Basic Plan\u2026 stay away from my man type shift\u2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add pauses when appropriate, and if the sound of something doesn\u2019t sound quite right you can press the regenerate voice button at the top until it does. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a Pro plan and there are additional things to adjust to truly make everything perfect, you can tweak the pitch, intonation, and emphasis of the lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit Reflect to timeline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, to add the photo you\u2019re going to need to use either art you\u2019ve made or source it from the internet legally <\/em>and credit that source, but however you get that image, click on Media<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then Upload Files<\/strong> and choose the image, or even video if you\u2019re going all out. It\u2019ll appear to the side and if you hover your cursor over it you\u2019ll see the option to add. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you click the image in the editor you can lengthen it to match the audio. This way the image won\u2019t cut out before the audio finishes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hit the phone-looking icon in the top right corner to adjust the screen ratio and make the video a landscape format.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although not strictly necessary, it is pretty common and seen as the punchline for these types of boyfriend asmrs to have sound effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recommend freesound.org<\/a> if you wish to find already created sound effects and use them legally. Just make sure that the sound you pick can be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You add the audios the same way you did the image. After adding them into the timeline you can cut and edit from there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subtitles are optional, but if you did want to add them then go to Subtitle<\/strong> and adjust the settings however you want. There\u2019s size<\/strong>, smart split<\/strong>, and styles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose small<\/strong>, no split<\/strong>, and the first style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add transitions if you\u2019d like, and press Download<\/strong> from there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have now created your masterpiece. If publishing online, beware of copyright and credit your sources. Treat it like a college paper. Once you\u2019ve minded that, all done! Create more boyfriend asmrs and torment your friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
